"EVERING" Smart Ring with Cashless Functionality
General sales to begin on October 1, 2021 at the official online store
MTG Co., Ltd. (Head office: Nagoya, Aichi; President: Tsuyoshi Matsushita) announces that its group company EVERING Corp. (Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Takeshi Kawada) will start selling the smart ring with cashless function "EVERING" to the general public on October 1, 2021. The company will begin sales of the EVERING smart ring with cashless functionality on October 1, 2021.

Pre-order sales began in May 2021 and sold out immediately. The second pre-order in July was also sold out in just a few days. Now that we are ready to deliver the product to everyone, we have begun general sales, and in addition to the official online store (https://evering.jp/), the product will be available at pop-up spaces at Roppongi Tsutaya, Daikanyama Tsutaya, Umeda Tsutaya, and Ropponmatsu Tsutaya. The products are also available at Beauty Connection Ginza and Omotesando Hills ReFa Boutique.
EVERING is a ring-shaped wearable device with cashless functionality that supports Visa touch payment. It is not only convenient, but also meets the recent need for contactless payments, allowing customers to make purchases quickly and easily without having to take out their wallets, credit cards, or smartphones.
Many customers who have purchased the device through advanced reservations have expressed their appreciation for the speedy and smooth payment experience without the need for complicated actions such as launching an application, compared to conventional cashless payment methods. At present, cashless payment is the main function of this product, but in the future, we aim to add functions other than payment and link various scenes with a single "EVERING" to make it an indispensable device for daily life.

1) International level security
This smart ring is compatible with "Visa's touch payment", which guarantees security at the international standard level. When not in use or in case of loss, the function can be deactivated with a single tap of the smartphone application, and the risk of use by others is extremely low.
*Please note that EVERING may not be used even at stores and facilities that support Visa touch payment.
2) No need for recharging
The EVERING is NFC (TYPE-A) compatible with an IC chip inside the ring; simply hold the EVERING over a reader to complete payment.
Since the ring reacts to radio waves from the reader, no recharging is required.

3) Hypoallergenic, highly durable and waterproof
The use of zirconia ceramic, which is also used for dentures in the medical field, makes the ring hypoallergenic, durable, and waterproof (5 atmospheres). The ring can be kept clean by washing hands while wearing it.
4) All management can be completed with an application.
Using a smartphone application, recharging and stopping/resuming functions can be done with a single tap, and even in the unlikely event of theft or loss, the application can solve the problem.
5) Charge and auto-charge functions
By registering a credit card in advance and recharging money, you can use it at any time; not only Visa, but all major credit card brands* are supported. An auto-charge function is also available by setting the desired amount.
